Man this game is amazing! The art style is top notch! And the game hook is phenomenal, it really blends well with the genre. Seriously great job!

I had some technical issues in the web build, I don't know if it's related to running the game on Linux using Firefox, but there are portions of grass which are totally black (I only knew it was supposed to be grass from the screenshots) and the music stopped looping at some point. These are minor things, and probably related to running the game on the web with Linux (it's finicky sometimes).

Other than that, the experience was smooth. The intro cards made the core loop of the game clear, and the enemy AI was really good. I really enjoyed how they don't notice you until you attack one of them. You have some really strong foundation here.

Moving forward are you planning on making it level based or you build your own garden and then have to protect it?

The art is incredible, the music is awesome and I had a lot of fun playing it!

I loved the concept and felt immersed right from the home screen. It looks great and the typography is quite a touch!

The grass/leaves animations, the way things look underwater and the day/night cycle indicator really caught my attention. Sometimes I stopped defending to simply contemplate these things.

The spear drog was my favorite. Being able to clean a whole group with the line attack was so satisfying!

It took me a while to figure out the energy mechanic - at first I thought the top-right indicator assisted me in counting how many drogs were left for the current wave (!!) - but once I got that, things got really fun!

The game crashed a few times with "RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded", but I did not notice a pattern that would hint at what caused that.

I also found some drogs that looked stuck and one seemed to be be standing on water, but overall their behavior looked consistent to me.

It was surprising to find out that the drogs do not swim. Drowning the last one was pretty useful.

I also read the GDD and loved it. Good work!

The crash and zombie drogs are both well accounted for at this stage - we're just waiting for the judging to be over before we upload the fix.

If you'll humour me for a follow-up question: what kinds of games do you usually enjoy playing?

Hey man, awesome project. The art looks good even tho I had the expectation it looked a bit more like the cover art. The weapons feel really satisfying to use. Do wish there a more robust UI and a better way to expect what is going to go down, maybe an end day of the day summary once the enemies die down? Good work man !

most of my experience with the genre is bloons tower defense tbh lmao but i been playing a lot of stardew valley and I love that screen in it, dont know if would hit the same here but it's an idea

This is a really cool game. The art looks fantastic, music and actions sound great. The theme is also really interesting and the possessionmechanic is very unique. Everything feels really tight. A lot of love and work went into this and it shows. Great game.

nice game! i loved the visual style, it was a little confusing seeing what enemy i was playing as tho, especially with the amount of enemies on screen

I found a little bug I believe the spirit position vector is going outside of the visual spirit sprite bounds. And it feels like it stays stuck on the borders because of that

I'll tell you the trick if you like: there's actually an invisible actor running around that the spirit is following. We forgot to limit the actor to the map bounds so yeah, you're absolutely right that's why it feels like you get stuck for a bit when you go out of map bounds! We'll update it shortly after the judging period is over 😅

10/10 would drown and explode the little critters again.

Beautiful artstyle. And the controls feel pretty good. I think clicking in and possessing could use a little love ITO the range. Felt like I was clicking and it didn't work sometimes even tho my bar was full. But could be skill issue!

How do I recharge energy? I got kicked out of the possession after some time and couldn't click anymore. But I think I'm missing something. This game's heaps of fun so far, keep it up. It definitely needs music!

Thanks RobicMan! You can recharge energy by hovering near any trees still standing (i.e. you can't get energy from a tree if it's dead).
